Built on the **GraphQL Admin API**. Shopify classified the REST Admin API as legacy on October 1 2024, and REST product create/update/delete has been deprecated since version 2024-04, so REST is not a foundation to build on. ## When to Use This Plugin Use this plugin when the user asks about: - Orders and what needs to ship - Fulfilling orders and adding tracking numbers - Product listings, descriptions, tags, and SEO - Inventory and stock levels - Customers and repeat buyers ## Credentials The store's own credentials, never NeboAI's: the merchant creates a custom app in their own Shopify admin and holds the token. - `SHOPIFY_STORE_DOMAIN` — the store's `.myshopify.com` domain. A custom storefront domain will not work; only the myshopify domain serves the Admin API. - `SHOPIFY_ADMIN_TOKEN` — an Admin API access token (`shpat_…`) from a custom app created under Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps. Scopes the commands need: `read_orders`, `write_orders`, `read_all_orders`, `read_fulfillments`, `write_fulfillments`, `read_products`, `write_products`, `read_inventory`, `write_inventory`, `read_locations`, `read_customers`, `write_customers`, `read_publications`, `write_publications`, `read_discounts`, `write_discounts`, `read_draft_orders`, `write_draft_orders`. `read_publications` and `write_publications` are the pair that puts a product on the storefront. Without them a product can be ACTIVE and still invisible to shoppers, and `products publish` cannot work. A missing scope is reported as such — naming the scope and the steps to add it — because no rewording of a query can get around one. ### One store per account Each store is a separate account, so one employee can run several and two employees never share a token. Nebo gives each account its own directory in `SHOPIFY_CONFIG_DIR`; `auth login` proves the credentials against the Admin API and writes them there, every other command reads them back, and `auth logout` removes them. Reads the current count and supplies the compare-and-swap and idempotency key Shopify now requires | | `customers list [--query Q]` | Customers, most recent first | | `graphql --query Q [--variables JSON]` | Anything the above does not cover | Two things that are not the same: a product's **status** (`ACTIVE`, `DRAFT`) and whether it is **published** to a sales channel. A product needs both to be on sale. `products create` makes drafts unless told otherwise, so nothing goes on sale by accident.
